Josh joined the Purdue Research Foundation’s Human Resources Department in June of 2019 as an HR Generalist-Talent Acquisition and then to Senior HR Generalist-Talent Acquisition in January 2020. In those roles, he provided recruiting and hiring recommendations to various departments within PRF as well as the Purdue for Life Foundation. Josh also regularly maintained the PRF Job Description database ensuring employees have an up-to-date, relevant job descriptions. In addition, Josh assumed the responsibility of onboarding new employees by conducting Policy and Procedure training during New Employee Orientation. 

In February 2022, Josh transitioned to his current position as Director of Talent on the Alliances Team. In this capacity, Josh works with companies in the Discovery Park District and Purdue Research Park, regularly interfacing with HR Leaders and Managers from these companies to ensure their talent needs are met. In addition to traditional talent acquisition assistance, Josh also provides Dual Career and Relocation services to companies within the PRF ecosystem. Most notably, Josh helped Saab relocate several Swedish Expatriates from the Saab facility in Linköping, Sweden to the Greater Lafayette Area.   

Prior to joining PRF, Josh was a Selection and Evaluation Analyst in the Human Resources Department for the City of Toledo, Ohio. There, he was responsible for city-wide personnel selection, developing and implementing assessment strategies, and working with administration to develop recruitment and selection plans.  

Josh is a proud Boilermaker, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Psychology from Purdue and a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University with a focus on Human Resources Management Practices and Personnel Selection. Josh’s wife is also a proud Boilermaker as a Purdue Veterinary School graduate and Clinical Faculty member there. Together with their two sons they enjoy being outside, going to the park, and going tailgating. Josh’s other interests include Purdue sports, golf, and woodworking projects around the house.
